Mulki: The district has incurred a loss of Rs. 9 crore in damages due to the natural calamity it faced this time. The Department, bearing in mind the welfare of its consumers, is prepared to provide good service, said Mescom Mangaluru zone superintendent engineer Manjappa. He was speaking at the Janasamparka Sabhe organized by the Department at Mulki Mescom Sub-Division.
No shortage in electricity
The engineer clarified that Mescom has enough electricity to fulfill its customers requirements and there won’t be any form of shortage. In the coming days, continuous electricity supply will be provided to the customers of Mulki division, he said.
110 K.V. distribution centre
The aim to create a 110 K.V. Mulki electricity distribution centre work which was planned eight years back will be completed within the next one year. The tender process is already completed and the work is in its initial state, he said.
Removal of branches, directed
S.E. Manjappa directed the officials to immediately cut down branches of trees that are coming in contact with the power lines and thus maintain a problem free supply of power. Mulki Karnad Industrial Area Businessmen Association’s president Jaya N. Shetty and secretary Prashant Kanchan put forth some issues in front of the official.
