At the Republic Day Parade Camp 2025 held on Delhi’s Kartavya Path, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Karnataka Goa Directorate secured the prestigious Prime Minister’s Banner. Hardik Shetty, an NCC cadet from the Air Wing of Alva’s Engineering College in the Department of Computer Science and Design, received the award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This year, the NCC Karnataka Goa Directorate sent 124 cadets to the Republic Day Parade, and Hardik Shetty stood out for his excellent performance across all categories, particularly in drill activities. His exceptional display earned him this award, as stated by Lt. Col. Rohith Rai, the Commanding Officer of the 18 Karnataka Battalion.
A total of 49 cadets, including 5 from Alva’s College, participated in the parade this year. Dr. M. Mohan Alva expressed pride in the opportunity for the institution’s student to receive the prestigious award from the Prime Minister.
