NCP stages protests against demonetisation

New Delhi: NCP staged protests against the Union government’s sudden decision to demonetise high- value currency notes in Delhi and other parts of the country.
Led by NCP lawmaker Tariq Anwar, the party staged protest at Jantar Mantar in the national capital.
In Maharashtra, the party organised a ‘Jan Akrosh Andolan’ rally against the government’s decision to demonetise old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes.
Senior party leader Supriya Sule also addressed a rally in Daund in Pune.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had in a sudden decision on November 8 announced the government’s decision to demonetise the currency notes.
