Neralekatte: Ambulance -lorry collision kills woman; injured four

Bantwal: A woman died and four others suffered serious injuries in a tragic accident which happened at Parlottu near Neralekatte, Vittal in the taluk on Tuesday night July 16. The injured have been admitted at Puttur government hospital.

The woman died on the spot in the accident between and ambulance and a lorry. The ambulance was carrying a patient from Soorya in Idkidu village to Mangaluru for emergency dialysis from the Puttur hospital when it crashed head on into a goods truck that was moving towards Puttur from Mangaluru.

The injured who were admitted into the hospital include the patient being taken in the ambulance.

The police have rushed to the spot and handled the situation.
