New DC office building will be operational from Dec ’19

Mangaluru: The new three-storey Deputy Commissioner’s office complex which is being built in Padil will be ready by December 2019, Minister U.T. Khader said here on Friday.

The building is being constructed up on the 5.89-acre land of the Karnataka State Forest Industries Corporation.

The DC office building will also have offices of the Revenue, Health and Labour Departments, and 35 other departments. The MP and two MLAs of Mangaluru city will also have their offices here, he said.

The Minister said the Karnataka Housing Board was overseeing the construction for which the State government has sanctioned 41 crore. “We are committed to completing the construction within the due date.”
