New Delhi: 1 killed, 4 injured in car accident

New Delhi: A man was killed and four others injured after their SUV overturned at the Shahdara flyover today, police said.

They were residents of Ghaziabad and were returning home after visiting the Red Fort. The injured were admitted to the GTB hospital, they said.

The incident took place at the foot of the flyover when the driver lost control of the car and hit the central verge, police said.

The deceased was identified as 23-year-old Anil Kumar.

Taslim, who was driving the vehicle, Dharmendra Singh, Mirza Gulzar and Dharamender were injured, they said.

It is suspected that the car developed some technical problems and the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The police are yet to take a statement.
