New Drone from IISC Bengaluru to Help to Prevent Water Pollution

Bengaluru: Department of Aero Space Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru has developed special drone named, ‘Sisumara’ which is capable to move on land and water. New drone could be utilised for water conservation as it collects water samples from ponds and also helps the users to identify routes which support pollutants to enter the ponds.
The drone is capable to take photographs and collect samples from ponds easily. The drone could be utilised to identify the pollutants released by the factories illegally which ultimately results in environment pollution. The team spent 8 months to produce such a device which help the government and general public to protect the environment.
