Mangaluru: With the aim to put an end to the illegal transportation of cows in the coastal region, the Muslims here have come decided to form a new organization to curb illegal trafficking of cows
Till now, only pro-hindutva organizations were protesting against the illegal cow trafficking in the coastal region. But now, even Muslim organizations have also made a move in that direction. They will be forming an organization in the name of ‘Akrama Gow Sagata Samrakshana Samiti’ for this work. The organisation will be led by the youth wing of state Muslim League.
This new committee will start its functioning in Dakshina Kannada district, which has witnessed repeated antisocial and vigilante incidents in the name of illegal cow trafficking. Later, it will spread its work to other districts of the state as well, based on necessity. “The newly formed organization has plans of making the illegal cow traffickers understand the graveness of their act. If they do not budge, then they will be handed over to the police,” said Siddique Talapady, leader of youth league.
Additionally, the committee will urge religious preachers to create awareness regarding to illegal cow trafficking in all the mosques and Madrasas of the district.
