New police commissioner raids district prison within two days of taking charge

Mangaluru: Within two days of taking charge as the new police commissioner of the city police, Sandeep Patil has raided the district prison here on Sunday, February 24. Deputy police commissioner (crime) also participated in the raid.
Mr Patil informed that the raid was conducted due to certain incidents that have occurred recently within the city limits.
Six mobile phones and four knives were recovered during the raid. The commissioner has plans to hold investigation in connection to the lapse and fix it.
Post the raid Mr Patil spoke with the media and said that more raids will be conducted in the future.
