New TV cable prices to implemented from today

Mangaluru/Udupi: The new fee rule for cable TV and DTH will be implemented from today. But there will be no problem to cable services in the district and the channels will be available as per usual in accordance to the new fees.
Cable operators had expressed opposition to the implementation of the new rule and had also stopped the service for a day in protest. Amidst this, the new model for cable and DTH fees by TRAI is being implemented country wide from February 1st.
Speaking about the implementation of this new rule, Cable Operators Associaition’s Satyajit Surathkal said, “From Feb 1st, the cable services will be as per usual. The customers will 100 free channels. It may take 3-4 days for the channels to be properly available for the customers as per the new fee rule,” he informed.
