Bengaluru: Bengaluru police’s new initiative has brought a simle on the faces of people who had lost their valuables in thefts and robberies in the city.

The police on the eve of new year took a new initiative by personally delivering the stolen ornaments back to the owners.

The relief that was seen on people’s face after getting back their stolen ornaments was priceless, informed police. City police commissioner, T Sunil Kumar, Ravi Channannavar, deputy commissioner of police (west), Annamalai were the part of the team who went to houses to deliver the stolen ornaments.

The police had also deployed sniffer dogs on important roads in the city to make the New Year celebrations safer for the people of the city. Pamphlets containing guidelines and telephone numbers of nearest police stations were distributed by the Women police to home stays and other accommodations in the city.
