Bengaluru: Bengaluru’s newly-elected Deputy Mayor, Ramila Umashankar passed away owing to a massive heart attack on Thursday night. She was 44 years old.
Umashankar was the JDS leader from the Kaveripura ward. She was elected as the Deputy Mayor of Bengaluru on September 28.
Expressing grief over her death Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy said, “It is shocking to learn that she is no more with us.”
