Newlywed Girl Seriously Injured after She Tried to End Her Life on NH in Chamarajnagar

Chamarajanagar: A newlywed 20 year old girl, Rakshitha admitted to a hospital near here with severe injuries after she tried to end her life on national highway (NH) in Chamarajnagar on Thursday morning. The girl poured petrol and set fire herself to commit the extreme act before the public following some family issues. 

The victim was a resident of Mysuru and four month ago she married to Srinivas, an employee at Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). Ranitha was staying at Kuvempu layout here with her husband and for the last a few weeks the duo used quarrel with each other for minor issues. The duo reportedly fell in love prior to the marriage. 

Recently, Srnivas took away the ‘Thali’ from Rakshitha’s neck following heated arguments. The girl decided to commit suicide when her husband remained silent when she arrived to meet him at his KSRTC depot on Thursday morning. The local police registered case on the incident.
