Legendary Scottish star Sean Connery, who became a global sensation as the first James Bond and featured in a string of cult hits in his five-decade-long career, has died. He was 90. According to BBC, the actor passed away overnight in his sleep while in the Bahamas.

The Adani Group has taken over the Mangalore International Airport on Saturday, October 31 and has commenced commercial operations there.
The airport was a state-run airport operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and now according to the ambitious project of union government of privatizing the international airport in the city, the management of the airport was taken over by Adani group of company.

BJP councillor from Parkala ward Sumitra Nayak was elected president and councillor Lakshmi of Kola ward was elected vice president of the Udupi town council in the election held on Thursday, October 29.
Of the 35 seats in the council, the BJP has 31 seats while Congress has 4. Hence BJP members were unanimously elected as president and vice president.
