Praveen Nettaru

New Delhi/Bengaluru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a chargesheet on Friday against two individuals accused of harboring Mustafa Paichar, a key suspect in the murder of BJP Yuva Morcha leader Praveen Nettaru.

Praveen Nettaru was barbarically hacked to death with sharp weapons in Dakshina Kannada district in 2022. In connection with this case, 19 accused have been arrested. Among them, Mustafa Paichar is the main conspirator of the murder, and it is alleged that Riyaz H.Y. provided shelter to him.

Last month, Riyaz was arrested by NIA officials at Mumbai Airport while attempting to flee the country. The chargesheet has now been filed against him and another accused.

The operation is ongoing to locate seven other accused who are still at large.
