Ullal: National Investigation Agency (NIA) sleuths raided a private engineering college near Nadupadavu in Kairangala village and took a student into custody on Thursday, January 5.

It is said that the accused was in constant touch with a youth named Maaz Muneer who was arrested by Shivamogga Police on charges of having links with the banned terrorist organization.

Muneer was also arrested by Mangaluru city police in December 2020 for painting pro-terror graffiti on the wall of a building in the coastal city.

Mohammed Shariq, the man behind the Mangaluru cooker blast was also an accused in the pro-terror graffiti case.

The Udupi-based engineering student is said to have links with both the accused and has been taken to Bengaluru for further questioning.
