NIA raids based on intelligence inputs, not action against minorities, says Araga Jnanendra

Bengaluru: Karnataka Home minister Araga Jnanendra on Thursday said that NIA raids are based on intelligence inputs and should not be considered action against minorities.
Speaking to the reporters, Araga said, “NIA and ED jointly have jointly conducted raids at several places in Karnataka. The multi-agency raids against PFI leaders across the country are based on intelligence inputs. They are acting on the basis of solid evidence available to them.”
“I request all of them to cooperate with the officials. Strict action will be taken against those taking law into their own hands,” he added.
PFI supporters gathered outside the raid sites and shouted slogans against the investigating agencies. Several were taken into preventive custody.
