Nikhil Kumaraswamy to contest from Channapatna as NDA candidate

Bengaluru: The NDA has announced the candidature of Nikhil Kumaraswamy, son of Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy for the upcoming by-election for the Channapatna assembly seat.

Nikhil’s candidacy was finalised during a meeting held at the JD(S) office in Bengaluru on Tuesday, October 24.

“I have decided to contest the by-election for Channapatna assembly seat. This election is not just for one individual but for the NDA alliance,” Nikhil stated during the announcement.

H.D. Kumaraswamy expressed confidence in his son’s candidacy, saying, “Nikhil is your son; it is your responsibility to ensure his victory this time. I have entrusted him to you.”

The last date for filing nominations is October 25, and the final date for withdrawal of papers is October 30.
