Nine persons injured in bee attack at Bantwal

Bantwal: As many as nine persons were injured when a swarm of honey bees attacked them at Kalabagilur of the taluk here.
The injured — Gangaiah Gowda (60), Sheena Shetty (48), Aithappa Shetty (76), Arun Shetty (34), Lalitha (49) and four others have been admitted to the government hospital for treatment.
The incident took place when the people were headed for Sri Dharmasthala Rural Development Scheme meeting.
The bees were reportedly disturbed by an eagle and it attacked the passersby.
