NKRTC bus stolen from Kalaburagi found in Telangana; thief absconding

Kalaburagi: A government bus that had been stolen from Chincholi bus stand on February 21 morning was found abandoned near Antara Tanda close to the Bhookailasa Temple in Telangana on Wednesday.

The theft of the bus with the number plate KA 38 F 971 belonging to the Bidar No 2 depot came to light when the driver found it missing after reporting to work.

The CCTV footage showed the stolen bus proceeding towards Telangana via Tandur via Miryana. Based on the complaint lodged by KKSRTC officials, police formed 2 special teams for tracking the stolen bus.

Reportedly one of the wheels of the bus got stuck in a pothole beside the road near Antara Tanda close to the Bhookailasa Temple in Telangana.

Chincholi police have launched a hunt for the accused who attempted to steal the bus. The investigation is on.
