Mangaluru: New Mangalore Port Trust is organizing ‘Agri Export Meet 2019’, wherein exporters of agricultural and allied products, as well as, various-related governmental agencies are being brought together on a single platform to create awareness among exporters and farmers regarding opportunities in Latvia and surrounding countries, introduce Latvia as an attractive destination for export to/import from Europe, showcase NMPT’s infrastructure and services for agri-product exports and imports, and understand and try to resolve various issues faced by the exporters.

Earlier, NMPT has successfully conducted this experiment in Maharashtra. Now, NMPT wants Karnataka exporters to capitalize upon this
opportunity in order to find better markets for their products as well as increase exports through the port. This will directly lead to economic development in the hinterland.

The event will be held at Taj Gateway, Mangaluru on November 28.
