“No caste is greater than humanity”

Mangaluru: ‘World Red Cross Day’ on May 8th was celebrated symbolically though the planting of a sapling at the premises of the District Home Guards office at Maryhill here.

Presiding over the function, District Commandant of Home Guard Dr Murali Mohan Chuntaru said, the international Red Cross Society is a humanitarian organization which lifts up human values and has its branches globally. “

“By following the rule that no caste is greater than humanity they are working and spreading peace through their humanitarian work. It is vital that every person must follow the principle and mission of the Red Cross Society,” he said.

Lions Club Tulu Nadu President Wilson Diwaker, Red Cross Society member Ajay Kumar, CEO of Human Rights Authority Shivaraj Ayyar, environmentalist and Aranya Mitra award winner Madhaw Ullal, Office Superintendent Ratnakar, First Division Assistant Anita T S, Home Guard Ramesh Bhandary, Dewakar, Sanat Kumar Alva, Sukhita Shetty, Diksha and Shilpa were present.
