No change of venue, Tipu Jayanthi celebrations to be held at Vidhana Soudha itself

Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister, Dr G Parameshwar on Wednesday, November 7 said that there would be no change in the venue for Tipu Jayanthi celebration and that the same will be held at the Vidhana Soudha banquet hall.
For the last three years, Tipu Jayanthi celebrations is being held at Vidhana Soudha banquet hall. However this year owing to security reasons, the venue for Tipu Jayanthi celebrations was changed to Ravindra Kala Kshetra but now the DCM has confirmed that the fete will be held in Vidhana Soudha banquet hall itself.
Addressing press persons Parameshwar said that he along with and Minister Zamir Ahmed Khan had visited former chief minister Siddrammaiah to discuss the security issue surrounding the venue. Siddarammaih suggested them to celebrate Tipu Jayanthi in Vidhana Soudha Banquet hall as it is more safer than Ravindra Kala Kshetra.
He further added the same has the chief minister HD Kumaraswamy with regard to the change of venue.
He also questioned R Ashok and Shobha Karandlaje for opposing the celebrations now when they themselves had celebrated Tipu Jayanthi earlier.
