No govt interference in Shiroor Swamiji death investigation – DCM

Bhatkal: The government will not interfere in the investigation of the recently deceased Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji of Shiroor Mutt, assured Deputy Chief Minister and home minister Dr G Parameshwar on Friday, August 10th. The Seer’s untimely death is being investigated by Udupi police.

Speaking to reporters here on his way to Bhatkal the DCM said, “About the rituals at the Mutt also, the police will come to a decision based on many developments and factors. The government will not influence the police to take any decisions.”

The investigation of Gauri Lankesh murder case has reached the final stage and police will share the details once the investigation is over, informed the DCM in response to a question on the progress in  Gauri Lankesh murder case.
