Bengaluru: KPCC President DK Shivakumar stated that we have not heard from anyone telling us to support the JDS in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections, we are committed to what our leaders will decide on the issue.
Speaking outside Congress Bhavan, he further stated that no one has discussed the issue with me. Kumaraswamy is a senior leader and has expressed his views. I will follow Sonia Gandhi’s orders. Some are coming out with some 50-30-40 formula, it’s not like selling peanuts.
I know who’s meeting in which hotel and who’s watching out for whom. Many leaders want to join our party. I wouldn’t agree with that, our committee will look after it. Under Allam Veerabhadra I have constituted a committee, they will decide who will be joining the party.
Commenting on giving the ticket for the Rajya Sabha elections to Mallikarjuna Kharge, he stated that this decision was taken by the national leadership of the party. It was a decision taken at the national level.
