No water supply in several parts of Mangaluru on Feb 6

Team Udayavani, Feb 4, 2024, 3:21 PM IST

In a scheduled maintenance move, the Mangaluru Municipal Corporation has announced a temporary disruption in the Tumbe-Bendoorwell-Panambur water supply system, affecting various parts of the city.

The interruption is slated to occur from 6 am on February 6th to 6 am on February 7th, as the Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC) undertakes the installation of a bulk ploughmeter near Bendoorwell.

The 1000 mm water supply system plays a crucial role in providing water to the city, and the scheduled maintenance aims to enhance its efficiency. However, the Corporation anticipates inconveniences in water supply during the specified period.

Areas expected to be particularly impacted by the disruption include low-lying regions such as PVS, Ladyhill, Maryhill, Pacchanadi, Ashokanagar, Derebail, Kodialbail, Kadri, Naguri, Suratkal, Katipalla, Kulur, Jalligudde, Kodikal (partially), Kana, Kulai, Mukka, Panambur, among others.
