Bengaluru: Former Prime Minister H.D. Devegowda on Monday took on former Chief Minister, Congress leader Siddaramaiah, for having criticized the Janata Dal (S) and said “Nobody can finish off JD(S).
Speaking at a workshop at Bidadi Farm House, HDD said, ” JD(S) may be a small party, but it is loved by people of Karnataka. Its strength cannot be ignored. Neither Siddaramaiah nor anyone else can finish off JD(S) party.”
He further said, ” I have faced several obstacles in my life. I or anybody else in our party do not shrink from facing criticism. Those laughing at us will get a befitting reply in 2023 polls.”
Hitting out at Siddaramaiah, Mr. Kumaraswamy said that Siddaramaiah grew in the JD(S) and is now trying to destroy Congress leadership.
“For someone like him who turns his back on the truth, he has no moral right to talk about the JD(S),” Mr. Kumaraswamy tweeted.
