Normal rain in Kodagu; schools to reopen from today

Madikeri: Kodagu district trapped in torrential rains experienced a slight relief as the rain intensity in the district dropped down. All schools, colleges and aanganwadis in the district will reopen on Friday, informed the Deputy Commissioner Annies Kanmani Joy.

She clarified that holiday will be given to students of schools and colleges were victims of the natural disaster have been accommodated.

Search for 6 corpses

The search for the corpse of 6 persons who were buried in a landslide that occurred at Tora village in Virajpet on Aug 9th as gathered pace. The area has been visited by MLA MP Appacchu Ranjan and ZP officials.
