Bengaluru: Acknowledging reports that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s central leadership is likely to replace the BJP state president after the Lok Sabha polls, BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje on Friday said she was not aspiring for the post.
Speaking to reporters here she said that BS Yeddyurappa has completed his three-year term and a change is likely. “Appointment of new president is part of organisational change and a decision in this regard will be taken by the central leadership at an opportune time,” she said.
Asked whether she was among the aspirants for the post, Shobha denied that she was in the race.
Party leaders R Ashoka, C T Ravi and Aravind Limbavali are among the prominent aspirants for BJP state president post, informed sources.
