Mumbai: Noted journalist Arnab Goswami resigned from the Editors Guild of India on a live TV show on Tuesday, April 21.
During a panel discussion on mob lynching of two sadhus and a driver in Palghar, Goswami slammed the president of Editors Guild of India Shekhar Gupta for not speaking against this incident.
He alleged that whatever the credibility that is left in the members of the Editors Guild has been destroyed by the silence.
Goswami later announced that he will be resigning from the association as they have compromised with the editorial ethics.
Two Sadhus and a driver who was traveling on the car were attacked by a mob on April 16. Over 100 people have been arrested in connection with the killing of the three men.
