Notice issued to cong MLA for controversial remarks

Bengaluru: AICC general secretary in-charge of Karnataka state KC Venugopal in a tweet informed that he has instructed Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee to issue a show-cause notice to MLA Somashekhar seeking clarification on his controversial remarks on the HD Kumaraswamy-led coalition government.
“Instructed Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee to issue a show-cause notice to Somashekhar seeking clarification on his controversial remarks. If the explanation is not satisfactory, the party will take strong disciplinary action. Congress will not tolerate any such indiscipline statements and action,” Venugopal tweeted.
In another tweet, Venugopal reached out to Kumaraswamy: “The Congress High command has full faith in Karnataka Govt and Chief Minister. The Government is moving ahead with popular and welfare measures reflecting the ambitions of the people in Karnataka.”
Addressing an event on Sunday Somashekhar who represents the Yeshwantpur constituency in Bengaluru and chairperson of the Bangalore Development Authority attacked the Kumaraswamy administration.
