Notorious Criminal Dharmaraj Chadchan Lost Life after Police Firing in Vijayapura

Vijayapura: Notorious criminal, gang leader Dharmaraj Chadchan lost his life after a gun battle with police here on Monday at BLDE hospital in Vijayapura. As many as eight bullets recovered from the body of the deceased, sources said.
Meanwhile, the mother of the deceased arrived at the hospital soon after the death of her son and blamed police for the loss of her son. She reportedly blamed the police using vulgar language and accused that the police took money to end life of her son.
The incident occurred when Dharmaraj and his gang members fired at police team when the cops arrived to question him at his residence in Konkan village inconnection with illegal possession of country made pistols. The police quickly responded to the attack and fired back which inured him seriously.
Police sub inspector (PSI) Gopal Hallur survived with injuries in battle as his body was covered with bullet proof jacket which saved his life.
Dharamaraj was accused in number of criminal cases including murder, robbery and other criminal cases in Vijayapura district. Superintendent of Police (SP) Kuldeepkumar Jain, additional SP Shivakumar Gunare and other senior police officers rushed into the incident spot and hospital soon after the gun battle.
