In a significant operation, the Mangalore CCB Police successfully arrested a notorious individual involved in the sale of MDMA to the general public and students throughout the city.

The apprehended suspect has been identified as Abdul Aziz (42), a resident of Taudugoli Cross, Naringana, Ullal.

The Mangalore CCB Police initiated a raid in the Deralakatta area under the jurisdiction of the Ullala police station, targeting Abdul Aziz, who had a history of involvement in multiple drug-related cases.

During the operation, law enforcement officials seized a substantial amount of MDMA, weighing 26 grams, valued at Rs. 1,30,000, along with the suspect’s car used for transportation, mobile phones, and a digital weight scale. The total estimated worth of the confiscated assets is approximately Rs. 6,41,500. Furthermore, it is suspected that several other individuals may be connected to this drug sales network, and investigations are ongoing.

Additionally, he was involved in a case of assault and attempted murder while in judicial custody, stemming from an incident where he obstructed the duty of a jail officer.

This successful operation was carried out under the guidance of Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal.
