New Delhi: The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) will likely fix the prices for 127 medicines including the Paracetamol tablets.
As per the reports, this will be for the fifth time in the year that the medicine rates will be reduced.
The medicines included Paracetamol, Amoxycillin, Rabeprazole, and others.
However, the cost of drugs like Montelukast and Metformin has been hiked.
The cost of the Paracetamol (650 mg) tablet which is currently sold at Rs. 2.3 per tablet is now reduced to Rs. 1.8.
Likewise, Amoxycillin and Potassium Clavulanate’s price cap is reduced to Rs. 16.8 per tablet, which was earlier Rs. 22.3.
