NSG Commando security at MIA till Jan 28

Mangaluru: A day after a live bomb beeing found at Mangalore International Airport, a team of National Security Guard (NSG) team arrived in the city on Tuesday, January 20 to undertake an investigation.

A five-member team of the NSG visited the spot where the bomb was placed by the suspected man and conducted an investigation. It is said that the team belongs to NSG 27 batallion.

NSG Commando security will be provided to Mangalore Airport till January 28, for this purpose a total of 16 NSG commandos have been deputed to Mangaluru from Bengaluru.

The team has verified the CCTV footage and have collected information from airport personnel. The team has visited the spot where the explosive was detonated and collected samples from the spot.

Sources said that NIA team is also likely to visit Mangaluru.
