Bengaluru: The National Students Union of India (NSUI) organised a signature campaign in various colleges of the city, urging Defence Minister Nirmala Seetharaman to drop the plan of shifting the aero show to Lucknow.

The campaign was held in Mount Carmel College, Maharani’s College, Government Arts and Science Colleges and others. The NSUI collected around 7,000 signatures from students.

“Nirmala Seetharaman was elected to Rajya Sabha from Karnataka, she should be grateful to our state. Just to gain political mileage out of this show, they plan to shift the show to Lucknow,” Manjunath Gowda, state president, NSUI, told

“We request the central government to drop this proposal and make sure Aero India happens in Bengaluru,” said Sushmitha, degree student in Mount Carmel College.
