Mangaluru: The unregulated movement of LPG tankers on highway is creating a lot of problems to the general public. It is high time that the officials keep a tab on the movement of LPG tankers, said, Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner, K V Rajendra

Speaking to the reporters after charging the district level disaster management committee meeting, DC said, ” LPG tankers must travel only during fixed hours and those who violate the rules will be penalised.  Also, Officials of the gas companies must respond to the frequent accidents happening in the city and handle them effectively”

“Each tanker must have two drivers and gas companies must make sure that tankers do not move on the roads between 10 pm and 6 am,” he added
