Bengaluru: Cab aggregator, Ola Cabs blacklisted drivers based on customer feedback and complaints.
Hundreds of blacklisted drivers staged a protest outside the Murugeshpalya office on Monday and demanded for reinstigating.
The police had to intervene to bring the situation under control.
The protesting drivers claimed that they were innocent nad have been blacklisted based on false complaints.
“We are innocent and have not misbehaved with women passengers. We don’t have any problem if they blacklist drivers who have criminal cases or have misbehaved with women. But the drivers are blacklisted without any prior notice and are given only 15 days’ time to re-examine the complaints and take back innocent drivers,” a protestor said.
However the Ola spokesperson said that, the list was created only after receiving complaints from passengers or if there were any cases of molestation reported. Drivers are our main resource and safety of women is our priority. We have zero tolerance towards safety.
