Shiradi Ghat: One dead as 2 cars and a truck collide near Kempuhole

Sakaleshpura/Nelyadi: A fatal collision involving two cars and a truck occurred near Kempuhole in the Shiradi Ghat area on National Highway 75. One person died on the spot, and five others sustained injuries in the incident.
The deceased has been identified as Chandregowda (50), a resident of Nayakarahalli, Hassan district. Among the injured, Shaila and Kiran were seriously hurt.
The injured were given first aid at the Sakaleshpura Government Hospital and later shifted to Hassan for further treatment.
The accident occurred when two cars coming from Dharmasthala towards Bengaluru tried to overtake each other, and collided with a goods-laden truck heading towards Mangaluru. The truck narrowly escaped falling into a nearby gorge.
Sakaleshpura Rural Police visited the site, conducted an investigation, and have registered a case.
