Kadaba: Police arrested a person for illegally transporting cattle in inhumane conditions.

The arrested has been identified as Matthew (38) from Kutrappadi Vimalagiri Kallolikal.

Kadaba police have seized the cattle as well as pick-up truck used to smuggle them.

A Hindu group grew suspicious of a pick-up truck travelling from Kadaba to Panja. They waylaid the truck near Kallamtadka cemetery and informed the police. The police reached the location immediately, arrested the accused, seized the truck with the cattle and registered a case.

Localities accuse that the modus operandi of the accused was to kidnap grazing cattle and smuggle them to the abattoir.
