One killed, two critical in road mishap

Kundapur: A person was killed while two others sustained critical injuries following a head-on collision between their two-wheelers on Bidkal Katte-Koteshwar main road on Tuesday, February 4 evening.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh. The injured – Sandesh and Gururaj – have been admitted to Manipal hospital for treatment.

It is gathered that Suresh was traveling towards Koteshwar on his scooter when the two-wheeler approaching from the opposite direction rammed into his bike.

As per witnesses, Gururaj was overspeeding his motorcycle and suddenly swerved his vehicle ramming into Suresh’s scooter. All three persons fell to the road and sustained injuries. They were rushed to the hospital where doctors declared Suresh brought dead.

A case has been registered at Kota police station.
