OPDs of Manipal Hospitals Resume Operation After Directive from Karnataka High Court

Udupi: Out Patients Departments (OPDs) at KMC Hospital in Manipal, TMA Pai Hospital in Udupi and TMA Pai Rotary Hospital in Karkala have resumed their operations on Friday morning following a directive from Karnataka High Court to resume their operations as their ongoing agitation against proposed KPME Amendment Bill 2017 adversely impacts the public.

All private hospitals in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts were remained closed on Thursday as part of their strike against Karnataka government to abandon some of the elements in the KPME Bill 2017 as they adversely impacts the functioning of the private doctors, clinics and hospitals in the state. As many as 300 out patients reportedly faced inconvenience after KMC group of hospitals shut their OPD doors on Thursday.
