Vijayapura: Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Sunday lashed out at Siddaramaiah and said that a “political opportunist” like Siddaramaiah who flouted Jayaprakash Narayan’s ideology doesn’t have the moral right to criticize the Pancharatna Yatra.
Kumaraswamy hit out at Siddaramiah saying, “If you (Siddaramiah) had adhered to Jayaprakash Narayan’s ideology, you would not have left your parent party JD(S) for the sake of power. I don’t need to learn a lesson from you who are doing opportunistic politics.”
HDK advised Siddaramiah not to belittle JDS. People come to me with their problems and sufferings. “I expose the conspiracy hatched at Siddhavana in Dharmasthala to topple my coalition government in front of the people,” he warned.
“I know what you did to bring down the coalition government led by me. I know where you were and with whom you conspired. Your party top brass had come to our door so that power should not go to the BJP. There was Mallikarjun Kharge, Parameshwara and DK Shivakumar. Don’t they know all this? Where were you then?” he asked.
“We are going to retain the party built by Jayaprakash Narayan. But I have nothing to learn from you (Siddaramiah) who have abandoned ideology for the sake of power and to become Chief Minister,” he said.
“How did the coalition government with the Congress led by me fall? What is your contribution in bringing down my government? I know how you conspired with BJP leaders… You are no less than the BJP in corruption. You have done so much wrongdoing and can’t even answer the questions I have raised so far,” he said.
“Siddaramaiah ji who talks ill about Pancharatna yatra… Your Prajadhwani Yatra is not the voice of democracy, it is the voice of power,” he said.
