Mangaluru: Chief Minister Yeddyurappa might have announced the release of water to Maharashtra mostly in connection to the election and for votes. But, nothing can be done unless both the states hold talks, observed former chief minister Siddaramaiah.

He was speaking to the media on Friday in Mangaluru and reacting to the B C Patil’s statement that IT raids will be done against those speaking against Siddaramaiah, the former CM questioned if Narendra Modi, Amith Shah were in his pocket? Will they act as we say? This is childish, foolishness, he said.

Nalin has no clue regarding the state, therefore what else can he say? Other than Mangaluru, that poor fellow knows nothing else. When his knowledge is so limited, what else can be done? Therefore he spoke that way, said Siddaramaiah.

I have written a letter requesting for Kaveri guest house. During the coalition government, it was given to George, who had given it to me. Now, I should be given a residence right? Therefore I have written to provide me the very same place. What is wrong in that? Giving or not giving is left to the government. Other than the business of transfers, no administrative work is being done. Although there has been floods, no relief work is being done, pointed Siddaramaiah.
