Bengaluru: B. Y. Vijayendra, BJP Karnataka president, criticized the Congress government, accusing it of endangering the state’s security through delay tactics.

Addressing reporters, Vijayendra stated, “My concern is not against minorities, nor do I imply that all minorities are involved. However, it is notable that many of the individuals identified in the ‘pro-Pakistan’ slogan-raising case belong to a specific religious community.”

He emphasized, “Our aim is not to politicize the issue, but the Congress’ delays are jeopardizing the state’s security.”

Questioning the need for the Congress to mention religion in the context of ‘pro-Pakistan’ slogans, Vijayendra asserted, “Anti-national elements transcend religious boundaries. The actions of Congress leaders indicate a willingness to compromise principles for appeasement.”

Regarding the Bengaluru cafe blast, Vijayendra criticized the government’s lack of seriousness. He said, “Mere visits to the blast site are insufficient. The government must act responsibly, refrain from irresponsible statements, and transfer the case to the NIA.”

Expressing dissatisfaction with the delay in apprehending the suspects in the ‘pro-Pakistan’ slogan case, Vijayendra remarked, “The government’s handling suggests an attempt to conceal the incident, posing a threat to law and order. The FSL report should be made public.”
