Our govt is committed to resoving Cauvery water-sharing dispute: CM Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that his government is committed to resolving the Cauvery water-sharing dispute that has arisen due to lack of rain without hindering the welfare of the farmers of the state.
“This dispute is now sub-judice. The government, being bound by the Constitution, has to act responsibly… The current dispute should be handled carefully so as not to harm the interest of the state and the respect of the judiciary,” he said.
“The state government making every effort. We are already in constant touch with legal and irrigation experts and will take further decisions based on their advice,” he said.
