Bantwal: A pick-up vehicle which went out of control of its driver rammed into a bike, injuring the bike riders and then came to a halt after hitting the embankment pillar of the Peruvai bridge on Sunday June 23.
The injured are identified as Krishnappa Poojary (38) of Peruvai and Ashok (32) of Kudtameguru. They were first provided with first aid at a hospital in Vittal after which they were admitted at a hospital in Mangaluru.
The pick-up vehicle was on its way to Manila from Peruvai Junction when the driver lost control of his vehicle and caused the mishap. The impact of the collision hurled the two-wheeler to a nearby drain. Both the vehicles involved in the mishap have been damaged. a case in this regard has been registered by Bantwal police.
