Mangaluru: Much opposition has been expressed by the public sector and groups have come forward in protest to the transfer of Mangaluru City Corporation Revenue Officer Praveenchanra Karkera in relation to the removal of illegal hoardings.

On Wednesday, ‘Udayavani’ had published a report on the transfer of Praveenchandra to Kalburgi Corporation due to political pressure. A few organizations have demanded the cancellation of the transfer and even a twitter movement is also expected to happen in regard to this.

On Thursday, MLC B.M. Farooq will visit the city and will submit a request for the cancellation of the transfer order of the Revenue officer. It has been decided to submit a complaint on this regard to the Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy.

If the district in-charge minister U.T. Khader fails to cancel the transfer order, a legal fight will be fought, said Shashidhar Shetty of NSF organization. A protest will be held condemning the transfer, warned Vinaya Netra Daddajkadu, chief secretary of SC Morcha.
