Over 400 Agniveer recruits join army at passing out parade in Ladakh

In a ceremony reflecting the Army’s highest traditions, 402 Agniveer recruits were officially inducted into the Ladakh Scouts regiment on Tuesday, as announced by a defence spokesperson. Reviewed by Maj Gen Dinesh Kumar Singh, the event saw attendance from distinguished military officers, civil dignitaries, and proud parents of the recruits.
Six Agniveers were awarded medals for their exceptional training achievements, with the ‘Gaurav Padak’ presented to their parents, recognizing the family’s contribution. This moment of pride attracted families from distant regions, underscoring the significance of the ceremony.
Maj Gen Singh praised the recruits’ dedication and urged them to serve the nation with pride. He lauded the parents for their motivating role and the Ladakh Scouts for their remarkable valor and sacrifice. He stressed the importance of lifelong commitment to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.
