Over 50 vehicles seized for lockdown violations

Mangaluru: Hours after city police commissioner Dr Harsha warned people going around on merry rides without purpose in their two-wheelers and/or cars, the police on Monday, March 30 seized over 50 vehicles of lockdown violaters.
“More than 50 vehicles seized from violators of lockdown.. will update details shortly.. STAY HOME … or FACE LEGAL ACTION.. I appeal everyone.. comply with lockdown instructions,” said Dr Harsha in a tweet.

Earlier on Sunday night, the commissioner urged people to comply with lockdown guidelines while warning that vehicles of people, going around on merry rides without purpose has been noted by traffic division and their cars would be seized.
“We have noticed people going around on merry rides without purpose either in two-wheelers or cars… our traffic division has noted down numbers and come to the respective owners for seizure .. Be informed… comply with instructions and dont risk the lives of other citizens ..,” read his tweet.
